the wonderful owner of Archie's Rest were very good by offering us a replacement night when the run was rescheduled! The house itself was beautiful, warm, and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the parking right at the door. The owner's excellent communication and the pack of local information provided made our stay even better. Highly recommended!

The decor was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. I especially liked having a bathroom on both floors, and the hot water for the showers was a welcome treat. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all the shops and pubs in town. It was also very convenient to visit The Shed Distillery, a highlight of our trip. The house was clean and had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area.
I also would have loved to have a usable fireplace in the sitting room for added coziness.

Great location, close to cafes and restaurants. Convenient parking right outside the door. The decor was well-chosen and the bedrooms were comfortable. Having a shower room downstairs was a nice addition.
The house had a musty smell in the living room and kitchen, which needed better ventilation. The boiler smelled of smoke, which was unpleasant.

Great location in the heart of town, within walking distance of shops and pubs. Comfortable beds and cosy furnishings made for a pleasant stay.
The house felt chilly and draughty, and the heating controls were not intuitive. Some of the chairs in the sitting room lacked support and the fireplace was not functional.
